Anyone here shop at a major supermarket such as Coles? Do you use your flybuys points? Well, there is an option to use them in order to donate money.
When I bring up my Flybuys Rewards site, the first rewards that come up for me now are all of the charity donation options, such as Red Kite, Guide Dogs Australia, Cancer Council Australia, Australian Red Cross and Second Bite.
I wonder how many of you have donated your time, money (Flybuys points don’t count) or anything else. If you cannot be bothered are “too busy” to do some volunteering, are too stingy selfish greedy unfortunate to be able to donate funds, then you should at least consider donating funds via your FlyBuys points.
I’ve found that the exchange rates aren’t bad. For 1000 points that I’d never use (I wouldn’t fly Virgin if you paid me and I don’t need anymore junk in my house), I can donate $5 to charity. That’s a better use of my funds than you can ever imagine. I only had $40 worth of points, but they’re all gone now.
I’ll keep donating. If you can’t spare your time, money or blood – at least consider giving away your FlyBuys points.
